Flu Vaccine

The flu vaccine was delivered much earlier this year. All of us were a bit uneasy about it for scientifically we know flu vaccines only last for 3-4 months, just to cover the flu sessions. There has been lots of discussion about if second flu jab was necessary.

We have been following the flu cases very closely and can confirm that the actual number of flu cases continue to be very low. At this moment in time, except kids who are receiving flu immunization for the first time and specific groups of patients we are inviting to return, a second flu immunization is not necessary. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our GPs to discuss at 52481299.

Please continue to maintain physical distancing, wash your hands often, try not to touch your face and wear a mask if you need to be in a crowded place or in the hot zones with lots of active COVID19 cases.

Thank you.

Banksia Medical Centre & researchers from Uni Melbourne invite you to participate in a post viral pilot study.
