Banksia Medical Centre provides a dedicated GP Home Visits service to support patients who may have difficulty attending the clinic in person. Led primarily by Dr Natasha Nogueira, this service enables eligible patients to receive care in the comfort of their own home. Home visit appointments can include immunisations, general health checks, chronic disease management, women’s health consultations and other routine medical needs that do not require on-site equipment. This service, designed to remove the inconvenience of travel, focuses heavily on the areas around the doctor’s base.
Residents in Jan Juc, Bellbrae, Freshwater Creek, Moriac, Mount Duneed, and Armstrong Creek may visit our Torquay clinic. Those inBelmont, Grovedale, Highton, and Newcomb may visit our Newcomb clinic.
Our clinic supports a practice approach in preventative healthcare. We use an online reminder system which sends SMS/Letters to advise all our patients of their upcoming appointment time that also includes specialist assessment such as chronic health checks, cervical screening, skin checks or any other relevant health check Please advise your GP or practice nurse if you do not wish to be on our reminder system.
A normal test result is not routinely given to you. If your test result is not “normal” you will be contacted by the practice nurse via phone call/ SMS or by mail if these attempts are unsuccessful. Our policy is that patients are required to book an appointment an appointment with their doctor to discuss your results. A Telehealth appointment may be appropriate.
Our nurse is unable to discuss results over the phone.
Natasha will send though your results via secure software messaging, but they cannot be requested via the reception email, and they will not be given to a 3rd party without your permission. Please ensure you are opted into the SMS consent to receive these messages.
